RENTRAK®
STAR TRACER®
is proud to have been associated with Rentrak® since the advent of the PPT industry in 1985. Rentrak keeps you fully
stocked on all of the latest releases, keeping your store (no matter how small)
competitive with the biggest national chains. There is no additional charge for the
Rentrak-compatible version of STAR TRACER®.
CUSTOMER HISTORY MODULE
The Customer History Module makes STAR TRACER® remember each and every movie that your customer has rented. When a
customer asks "Haven't I seen this before?", your clerk will be able to answer
that question with the touch of a button, showing a list of everything they've rented from
you in the past. Privacy considerations? No problem with STAR
TRACER®. You can tell STAR TRACER® to "not save" the rental history of any customer that doesn't
want it. STAR TRACER® will also be able to show you a list of all customers that have ever
rented a particular movie. (The standard version of STAR
TRACER® remembers the last two.)
TIME CLOCK
Your employees can punch in and punch out through
the STAR TRACER® main screen. They can use passwords to prevent unauthorized punch-ins. The
manager has daily and weekly reports printed that lists the hours worked for all
employees. Corrections to accidental punch-in and punch-out times can only be made by a
Manager.
HANDHELD INVENTORY
Sure, STAR
TRACER® will keep accurate track of which
rental items are "in" and "out", and how many candy bars should be on
the shelf. But we can't prevent things from getting misplaced or stolen. Performing a
complete store inventory regularly is a good way to prevent your profits from
"sneaking out the door". A mobile, self contained data collection device that
fits in the palm of your hand makes it easy to perform a complete store inventory in
minutes instead of days. Just scan everything out there on the shelves with the portable
device, and STAR TRACER®
will tell you if there's anything missing, or something out there
that shouldn't be.
UNIT TRANSFER UTILITY
Makes it easy to move rentals items from one of
your store locations to another. No re-typing the title information is necessary. Just
scan the units out, carry a diskette to the other store, and press a button to load the
units in.
RACK JOB SOFTWARE
For video retailers that have remote
"rack" locations or kiosks away from the main store. Videos are "checked
out to" the rack for an extended period of time.
