High-resolution preprinted bar code label symbols are very sharp and clear and the tough Mylar coating ensures that they are readable for the life of the cassette. Labels come on rolls of 1,000 and have a range of numbers coded onto them that you select when you order them (i.e. A1000 thru A1999 or DVD0000 thru DVD0999). Aside from the bar code symbol and printed number, they can have your business name and/or phone number on them, space permitting.

Doughnut-shaped labels for DVD disks are about an inch and a half in diameter and fit in the center of the disk so that it will be balanced as it spins in the player. Label stickers for VHS tapes are about the same size but rectangular. They can sometimes be read by the scanner through a clear plastic clamshell case
